HISTORY

In 2004, after a year of searching for an OSS/BSS/NMS platform for a wireless broadband company and trying to customize an existing CLEC OSS/Billing system, our partners formed RidgeviewTel LLC to build and deploy an integrated, configurable and flexible OSS/BSS/NMS platform.

The lessons and experiences our leaders possess while developing and deploying the nation’s first ATM switching network in the early 90’s, were applied to the concepts, architecture and design of this new platform. The result is dBOSS^TM, our highly-scalable and flexible platform that can support the needs of a nationwide broadband communications network with millions of customers down to a start-up Broadband Carrier.

Early in the development efforts it was obvious many of the wireless Internet service providers (WiSP) across the country were not seasoned telecommunications industry professionals nor network designers. With an opportunity at hand, RidgeviewTel’s business plan expanded to include RidgeviewServices to provide support to WiSP operations nationwide. By engineering networks, hosting the systems via our Network Operations Center and providing Customer Care that includes technical support and billing functions, we provide professional operations and network support for the WiSPs by utilizing our dBOSS platform.This strategy allows WiSPs to focus on growing their businesses.

The efforts in building and operating our networks in rural Colorado has led to the development of our expertise and success in deploying high-quality, efficient networks and has the extra benefit of making dBOSS much more complete and robust. We use dBOSS everyday to operate and support markets across the nation from our headquarters in Colorado.
